Who we are

The company was born from the high competencies and know-how of two research laboratories, the laboratory of Control and Automation from the Polytechnic of Bari and the laboratory of Operations Research from the University of Trieste.

AutoLogS srl is therefore based on the experiences of a high skilled team of engineers and mathematicians dedicated to develop and implement innovative decisional tools supported by ICT solutions.

The high level of experience is maturated in industrial context as well as in academic field in order to link these two approaches to have the maximum level of efficiency and competency for the AutoLogS clients.

The expertise has been developed and strengthened also in international projects with several partners all around Europe.

Maria Pia Fanti President

Maria Pia Fanti is full professor of System and Control Engineering at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the Polytechnic of Bari (Italy). Her research interests include Discrete event systems, Petri net, networked and control systems, management and modelling of automated manufacturing systems, automatic guided vehicle systems, railway and urban traffic networks, supply chains, healthcare systems.
She is Co-Chair of the Technical committee on Discrete Event Systems for the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, Chair of the Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society Chapter of the IEEE Central & South Italy Section, member of the IFAC Technical Committee on Discrete Event and Hybrid Systems.

Walter Ukovich CEO

Walter Ukovich is currently full professor of Operations Research at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Trieste.
The scientific activity of Walter Ukovich has produced since 1970 over one hundred papers in different areas, such as: study of partially unknown systems, vector, multicriteria and multiobjective optimization, management of distribution networks and systems, traffic control, public transportation systems, periodic phenomena, image processing, evaluation of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, organization and management of health systems, production planning and control, logistics, innovation and evaluation problems.
